- Close-Range Depth at the Jaws The D405's ideal range of 7 to 50 cm keeps depth data usable at grasping distance.
- Global-Shutter Stereo Depth Depth arrives at up to 1280 × 720 and up to 90 fps without rolling-shutter distortion while the arm moves.
- RGB from the Depth Imager Colour comes from the left imager at 1280 × 720, so the image and the depth map share one viewpoint.
- ±2% Accuracy at 50 cm RealSense rates the D405's depth accuracy at ±2% at the far end of its ideal range.
- Built for the Unitree Z1 The gripper is the end effector for Unitree's 6-axis Z1 arm, whose end actuators are designed for quick replacement.

Description
This is the Z1 gripper for Unitree's 6-axis Z1 robot arm, paired with an Intel RealSense D405 depth camera. The D405 is RealSense's close-range stereo camera, with an ideal working range of 7 to 50 cm and a minimum depth distance of 7 cm, so it still resolves depth when the object is a hand's width from the jaws.
The camera delivers stereoscopic depth at up to 1280 × 720 and up to 90 fps through global-shutter imagers, with an 87° × 58° depth field of view, RGB from the left imager at 1280 × 720 and depth accuracy of ±2% at 50 cm. The D405 has no IMU.
Choosing between this and the D435 version of the Z1 gripper comes down to working distance. RealSense's D430-family cameras are built for 0.3 to 3 m with a 20 cm minimum, which suits a wider view of the workspace, and the D435i variant adds an IMU; the D405 gives up that reach for close-range detail at the jaws. Against the plain Z1 Gripper, the difference is the camera itself: depth and colour for pre-grasp alignment and grasp checks without a separate camera mount.
Gripper stroke, grip force and weight, the camera's connection to your host computer and the fit on your Z1 arm version are confirmed in writing with your quotation.

Choose by working distance. The D405 is built for 7 to 50 cm and resolves depth from 7 cm, which suits close-up grasping. RealSense's D435 cameras work from 0.3 to 3 m with a 20 cm minimum, better for a wider view of the workspace.
No. Among RealSense cameras, the D435i is the one that carries an IMU.
