- Seven joints per arm A spare joint lets the elbow move clear of obstacles while the hand keeps its position and orientation.
- Longer reach than the A5 Each arm has 555 mm of forearm and upper arm, against 420 mm on the R1-A5.
- Suited to teleoperation A seven-joint arm follows a human operator's arm posture more directly than a five-joint one.
- Fixed-base upper body Head, waist and two arms mount at one station, about 13 kg on external power.
- Waist that turns ±150° The torso rotates to bring both arms to work on either side of the base.

Description
The Unitree R1-A7 Smart A is the R1-A7 dual-arm humanoid in its Smart A package. The R1-A7 is the seven-joint version of Unitree's dual-arm upper body: two 7-DOF arms, a 1-DOF waist that turns ±150° and a 2-DOF head, 19 degrees of freedom in total with grippers, mounted on a fixed base with no legs or wheels.
The seventh joint is the reason to choose it over the R1-A5. Placing a hand at a given position and orientation takes six joints; a seventh leaves one spare, so the elbow can swing clear of a fixture or the other arm while the hand holds its pose. That helps in two-handed handling, in cluttered tabletop scenes and in teleoperation, where a human operator's seven-joint arm maps more directly onto the robot's. The arms are longer too, with 555 mm of forearm and upper arm against 420 mm on the A5, and the robot measures about 835 × 357 × 190 mm and weighs about 13 kg on external power.
Smart A is one of eight Smart packages on the R1-A7, lettered A to H. All eight are built on this robot; the letter identifies what is bundled with it — the end effector (two-finger gripper, three-finger or five-finger dexterous hand), any wrist camera and any high-computing module. For Smart A those items are listed on the quotation before you order. If you need wheels, the same arms come on the R1-A7-D; the walking humanoid is the R1 Edu range.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Unitree R1-A7 Smart A Dual-Arm Humanoid Robot is priced at €6.550 in your market.
Reach and freedom of posture. The R1-A7 arms have 555 mm of forearm and upper arm against 420 mm, and the seventh joint lets the elbow move while the hand holds its pose, which helps in cluttered scenes, two-handed tasks and teleoperation. The R1-A5 is lighter and simpler to control.
The R1-A7 robot with its two 7-DOF arms, waist, head, binocular camera, body and head computers, microphones, speakers and charger, plus the Smart A items. The end effector, and whether a wrist camera or a high-computing module is included, are listed one by one on the quotation.
All eight packages, Smart A to Smart H, are the same R1-A7 robot and differ in the items bundled with it. The quotation lists those items for each package you are considering, so you can compare them line by line rather than by letter.
Fixed. It has no chassis and mounts at a workstation. The wheeled version, with a three-axis chassis and chassis LiDAR, is the R1-A7-D.
It is sourced new through established distribution channels, ships worldwide and carries Unitree's 12-month manufacturer warranty, with technical support coordinated through Unitree's own service network. On-site installation is not included.
